Frontal images appear less and less in my recent collages. In this vagueness of subject matter, the viewer’s focus is brought to the background. With paint and paper, I seek to evoke the phenomenology of skin cells overlapping in a patient with chronic eczema. I reference my physical body and my lifelong experience of living with atopic dermatitis.
